From west Rosemary Street, turn north onto Church Street. Turn left onto Caldwell and then take the second right into the school (go past the school's main entrance). Enter the building through the door next to the slide and you will see the multi-purpose room on your right.

Join the Chapel Hill Historical Society on Sunday, May 18th, at 3:00 pm at Northside Elementary School to learn about and celebrate the history of African- American education in Chapel Hill. Delores Clark, Esphur Foster, Esther McCauley, and Elaine Norwood will share memories of their school days in the old building that once sat on the site of the current school and served as a focal point for Chapel Hill's tight-knit African-American community in days gone by.


The afternoon will begin with a brief business meeting to elect new officers to the Historical Society board.
