Merritt's Store and Grill has been a gathering place in Chapel Hill for decades, from its origins as a service station and general store operated by the legendary Eben Merritt to its current status as a nationally-known grill specializing in BLTs and the sounds of bluegrass music. Join us for an afternoon of reminiscences and memories about the family and the store, with video highlights of the history and a program of spoken memories from townspeople, customers, family members, and friends who have made Merritt's Store and Grill one of Chapel Hill's most iconic locations. The Britt family, current owners of the business, will welcome guests to the event, and D. G. Martin will lead the sharing of recollections and stories.
